Where is that Coachella 2023 lineup?

We’re all getting impatient of asking the same question now, where the hell is the Coachella 2023 lineup? All those Goldenvoice and Bowery clues have gone dry. Fans want to know, and those of us who work in music media just want to be done with writing about it already (*cough cough). But this is the creme de la creme of music fests, la chignona of them all, and we must wait while some rough edges get smoothed out.

According to the Rumor Mill on Hits Daily Double:

“The official announcement is still forthcoming, but word has it that the headlining acts of Coachella2023 will be Bad Bunny, BLACKPINK and Frank Ocean. If the rumors are accurate, it’s a genuine coup for festival boss and Goldenvoice CEO Paul Tollett, who has succeeded in reflecting the international flavor of the present marketplace and secured, in Bad Bunny, the artist behind 2022’s biggest album.”

Remember, these are all rumors (despite everyone and their grandma speculating the same headliners). And if these headliners are indeed true, there’s definitely a negotiation traffic jam holding up the Coachella lineup announcement, and if one of these players don’t get what they want, they just might not be on the speculative lineup.

There has been a major headliner negotiation ongoing since (at the least) June ’22 that hasn’t been able to be brought across the finish line.

And has now caused a delay in releasing the poster as a decision on that spot was made. 🦉
