Notes of thanks from SNGA clients, and from us to you
Simple Needs GA’s Spirit of Christmas program was amazing in 2020. Our donors and volunteers brought gifts to over 300 kids in about 100 families. Included in those numbers are children who were living at a few local agencies (provided gifts to a few of the moms as well). .
It was a big increase over 2019, when we helped a total of 178 kids in 61 families, and it all took place amid the challenges created by the pandemic.
We could not have done this without the amazing support of many sponsors and donors, as well as our volunteers at the warehouse and those who delivered the gifts (not just requested presents but also extras like puzzles, board games, hats, gloves, scarves and a $25 Walmart card).
“One sponsor took on 37 kids!” said Brenda Rhodes, SNGA founder and president, “and another drove to Douglasville and Chattanooga to get the exact gifts one of their kids requested.”
Below are just a few of the moving thank-you notes we received from clients who were touched by SNGA’s Spirit of Christmas program in 2020.
Thank you again, Ms. Brenda. You have really helped me and my family this year. You are a true blessing! My kids can’t wait to open their gifts.
After Christmas, she wrote to us again:
“Merry Christmas! You rock! The kids loved everything. You matched them all to a ‘T’. All smiles, ear to ear!

Thank you! I can’t stop crying. I so appreciate you beyond words. You have been here for us since the beginning. I pray that when I get better you allow me to help out by doing volunteer work. I pray that next year the kids and I can bless a beautiful family like you did us.

I feel so happy inside. My family has gone through so many challenges over the past few years.
I won’t complain because so many others have faced insurmountable issues as well.
We know God is real–when we see a beautiful sunrise or gifts received from kind strangers.
I love people. I love your organization.
Merry Christmas!

My boys have been through so much and have never seen Mom take such a huge loss going through a divorce. You all have restored our faith and confidence to know and understand that we are not alone. I would like to volunteer for SNGA sometime next year. I’m going to pay it forward. Thank you, again!

Ms. Brenda, I would love to simply take this time to say thank you so much for everything. The smiles on my boys’ faces this morning made my entire heart smile. Thank You again! ♥️♥️♥️

You made my children’s’ Christmas wonderful! We were able to have a Merry Christmas with the gifts donated. They picked out a few toys from Walmart today, and felt really “big” using their cards at checkout. In time, I do believe I’ll be back on my feet with a new job and would love to donate at Christmas time to families in need, if that’s possible. Again, please accept my heartfelt gratitude.
