Dear HCC Chamber Members,

As we close out the year and look forward to the new one, I want to express my immense gratitude. Your support and loyalty make the Hollywood Chamber of Commerce a vital and thriving community.

We have many things to be thankful for at the Chamber this year. We are so proud of the work we have produced and the new initiatives we have begun to execute on behalf of the Hollywood business community.

A YEAR OF CHANGE AND PROGRESS
• Collaboration with elected and newly elected officials on policies that impact the Hollywood business community.
• An enhanced event structure for the HCC’s Economic Development Summit.
• Strategic partnerships to enhance our resources for members with the Economic Development Map and digital twin of Hollywood.
• A more integrated approach to public safety with our partners: Hollywood PAC, Hollywood Partnership, the East Hollywood BID, Hollywood 4WRD, Hollywood Right Now, and the Hollywood Historic Trust.
• Redesign Plan for the Walk of Fame.
• Illuminating the Hollywood Sign with an impressive projection of images celebrating the contribution of Black culture to Hollywood.
• New brand guidelines that we have begun to implement across all HCC properties.
• A unified and integrated approach to communications.
• New business coaching initiatives through the launch of Accelerate, a podcast now available on all streaming platforms.
• New grant structure and business plan for the Hollywood Chamber Community Foundation.
• Value-based membership tiers that provide our members with a greater return on their investment.

I am excited to continue to support and help promote the growth of our business community in the coming year.  The Chamber has many exciting initiatives and events planned for 2023.

A LOOK TO THE FUTURE:
• Celebrating the 100th Year Anniversary of the Hollywood Sign.
• New merchandise deals and brand collaborations with partners across the globe.
• Continued networking events and business coaching sessions thoughtfully designed to connect and inspire.

I also want to congratulate and welcome our newly elected officials, who took office in December. Los Angeles Mayor Karen Bass is our city’s first woman mayor, and Los Angeles City Councilmember Hugo Soto Martínez represents Hollywood, Los Angeles City Attorney Hydee Feldstein Soto is our city’s first woman City Attorney, along with Los Angeles City Controller Kenneth Mejia, who is the first Asian American elected to citywide office. We look forward to working with them —and all of our elected officials— to support the Hollywood business community.

Thank you again for your dedication and commitment to the Hollywood Chamber. I look forward to working with you to make the new year even better than the last.

Sincerely,

Lupita Sanchez Cornejo

Chairman of the Board

Hollywood Chamber of Commerce
