5 European Luxury Hotels For YOGA – Carmelatte Fashion & Travel
Let’s talk wellness, we all seem to need it this year. More than ever.
I am a yoga lover and I have been for a very long time. Back in the days, Chakra used to be the sort of ‘niche‘ but thankfully 2019 was ‘a year of wellness’, at least here in Europe. I know many of my Australian, American and Asian friends do practice it a lot, and I believe this is the reason they are cheerier, happier and healthier. Yoga is not only a huge trend, is a way of living – Nepal made it a mandatory class for schoolchildren.
I have been to some ZEN-perfect places, and I decided to share some of them with you. Are you planning on some wellness trip this year? Here I come with some inspiration!
Aegialis Hotel&SPA, Greek Cyclades
Ok, this could count as cheating, I know. Aegialis Hotel& SPA is recognised worldwide for being one of the top yoga destinations in Europe. They have international guests coming to Amorgos only to practice yoga. They have six beautiful shalas to choose from, all unique and specially designed to have breathtaking sea views. My fav yoga place was the rooftop one (see the header picture). The island of Amorgos is generally known for its zen-like energy and stunning landscape, so it should be a MUST-SEE for every yoga lover out there.
Marbella Club Hotel, Spain
Marbella Club Hotel is not just accommodation, it is a lifestyle resort. They promote a healthy life, Zen and peaceful living, green energy. Of course, it is also a perfect place for practising yoga! You have plenty of great options on where to do it – beautiful pier, boho villas, Bali-style villas, pool area. The staff would definitely make sure you’ve got everything you need, including great mood. I miss this place not only because it is a beautiful luxurious 5-star resort. It really makes you feel like you are welcomed anytime!
Uroczysko 7 Stawów, Lower Silesia in Poland
Uroczysko 7 Stawów is a luxury SPA hotel built into an old castle – a combination of modern luxury with Renaissance architecture leaves you speechless. The venue is placed around 40 km from Wrocław Airport and around 3/4 hours drive from Berlin. The castle is situated in Gola Dzierżoniowska, right on the hill of a historical park among seven ponds. The place is owned by two amazing people – businessman and his wife, the artist.
They surely put a lot of effort into making this place a ZEN-paradise. The castle offers incredibly good energy, peace and quiet, loads of yoga possibilities and the most covetable ZEN spirit. It is located only a short drive from Wrocław, nearby Kotlina Kłodzka. Add it to your bucket list!
Galgorm Resort and Spa, Northern Ireland
Galgorm Resort and Spa is the perfect base for exploring Northern Ireland. I had a chance to visit this fabulous place dring my ‘Game of Thrones’ press trip 2 years ago. Sadly, there was not enough time for yoga but I promised myself – I need to go back, and I am taking my husband with me. The hotel is an amazing example of a 19th-century mansion. It is located… in the middle of nowhere, surrounded by green forests and moors.
‘Inspired by an idyllic woodland location perched along the River Maine, Northern Ireland’s premier luxury hotel plays host to the renowned Spa at Galgorm.’ I would never have thought Northern Ireland would appear so…. wellness-perfect. I was discouraged by the weather but they do get a lovely summer! Galgorm is a very quiet place, with amazing positive energy and a huge amount of green
Lafay Resort &SPA, Italian Dolomites
Yoga and Meditation in the Dolomites! ‘A wellness temple where senses and soul are regenerated’. Ok, I know Italy again but I can’t help it. Let me introduce you to a place that was DESIGNED for wellness holiday lovers. It is even advertised as ‘perfect, luxury wellness break in the Dolomites’. We visited Lefay Resort& SPA during our Visit Trentino trip this winter. The SPA area is very discreet, peaceful and incredibly spacious. Yoga by these massive windows? Must be a great experience! Trentino region is very yoga-friendly as you can hike through the mountains and practise yoga amongst the beautiful nature. More about this region under this link.
I hope I inspired some of you, and I hope you will get a chance to go… anywhere this summer.
